Washington College Gospel Choir To Hold Annual Holiday Concert, November 22


Chestertown, MD, November 5, 2003 — The Washington College Gospel Choir, under the direction of Reverend Eric Scott, will hold its annual holiday concert on Saturday November 22, at 7:00 p.m. in the College's Casey Academic Center Gallery. Admission for the concert is $3 per person; children 12 and under are free. The public is encouraged and invited to attend.
“If you want to start the holiday season off in a wonderful way, you should come to this concert,” says Gospel Choir advisor Sara Ann Smith. “We plan to start off the holidays with a ‘Shout to the Lord' in praise, and we invite all members of the community to join us.”
Now in its sixth year, the WC Gospel Choir welcomes students from many states, as well as countries, as members.
“If you have not had an opportunity to come out and hear this choir, please mark your calendar, and come join us for a marvelous time,” says Smith. “You will be very glad you came!”

A Brighter Day: Washington College Gospel Choir To Hold Annual Spring Concert April 12

Chestertown, MD, April 4, 2003 — The Washington College Gospel choir, under the direction of Reverend Eric Scott, will hold its annual spring concert on Saturday April 12. The concert will be held in the College's Martha Washington Square (Casey Academic Center Gallery in case of rain) starting at 4:00 p.m. Admission for this concert is free and the public is invited to attend.
"This is a marvelous way to celebrate spring and the coming Easter holiday," says Gospel Choir Advisor Sara Ann Smith. "The choir has added many new songs to its repertoire, and the concert will delight all who attend. Please mark this date on your calendar and plan to attend. We will make sure that you have a 'Brighter Day.'"
Now in its fifth year, the Washington College Gospel Choir is made up of students from many states, as well as students from other countries. Washington Collge Gospel Choir To Sing At Community Thanksgiving Service November 24

Chestertown, MD, November 19, 2002 — The Washington College Gospel Choir, under the direction of Reverend Eric Scott, will once again join members of the Chester Valley Ministers Association for their community Thanksgiving Service. This event will be held at Christ United Methodist Church on 405 West High Street, Chestertown, Maryland on Sunday, November 24, 2002, at 4:00 pm.
For the past several Thanksgiving holidays, the Gospel Choir has participated in this community service. This event joins together many of the local churches and organizations to celebrate and give thanks during the holiday season.

"Glorious Praises": Washington College Gospel Choir To Hold Annual Holiday Concert

Chestertown, MD, October 25, 2002 — The Washington College Gospel Choir, under the direction of Reverend Eric Scott, will hold their annual holiday concert on Saturday, November 16, 2002. This concert will be held on campus in the Norman James Theatre. The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. Admission for this concert is $2 per person, with children 12 and under FREE. The concert is open to the public.
According to Gospel Choir Advisor, Sara Smith, this concert promises to be a very exciting one. “Since the concert is being held early this year, we plan to encompass not only the Christmas holiday but Thanksgiving as well,” said Smith.
The choir, now in its fifth year at the College, is made up of students from many states, as well as students from other countries. Several students from Japan participate in the choir as well as students from Pennsylvania, Arizona, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Maryland and Alaska. The choir also includes local staff members.

WC Gospel Choir Hosts Annual Spring Concert April 27th


Chestertown, MD, April 9, 2002 — The Washington College Gospel Choir, directed by Reverend Eric Scott, presents "BE GLORIFIED," an annual Spring Concert on Saturday, April 27, 2002, in the Norman James Theatre, William Smith Hall, at 6:30 p.m. The concert is open to the public. Admission to the concert is free.
The Washington College Gospel Choir, now in its fifth year, is a vibrant and exciting Christian group, formed by two students in 1997. The group meets once per week for rehearsals, prayer, Bible readings, praise, and interdenominational fellowship. Under the direction of Rev. Scott, the choir performs numerous concerts throughout the academic year in various locations, bringing both traditional and contemporary gospel music to the campus and surrounding communities.
Membership is open to students, faculty, staff and community members. The choir consists of members from many states, including Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Massachusetts, Arizona, Louisiana and Colorado. The choir also has members from as far away as Alaska and Japan.

Gospel Choir Hosts Christmas Concert December 6


Chestertown, MD, November 27, 2001 — The Washington College Gospel Choir, directed by Reverend Eric Scott, presents "O, COME ALL YE FAITHFUL," an annual Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 6, 2001, in the Norman James Theatre, William Smith hall, at 6:30 p.m. The concert is open to the public. Tickets are $1 for adults and children 12 and under are FREE.
The Washington College Gospel Choir, now in its fifth year, is a vibrant and exciting Christian group, formed by two students in 1997. Washington College Gospel Choir to Perform at Two Events


Chestertown, MD — The Washington College Gospel Choir, under the direction of Reverend Eric Scott, will perform in the Student Study Lounge of Hodson Hall at 2:30 PM on Saturday April 8th or Washington College's Diversity Weekend. This event will be held in conjunction with other events for Diversity Weekend to be held at the College.
The Gospel Choir will also sing at the Talbot County Chamber of Commerce Shore Leadership Program at 5:40 p.m. on Thursday April 13, 2000 at the Sultana Shipyard in Chestertown.
Shore Leadership broadens the base of leaders on the Eastern Shore by developing individual interest in and knowledge about the region and state. The program fosters leadership ability that can be applied for the greater good of the community.
In addition to their normal repertoire, the choir will sing several new songs.
